What to Bring

Fishing

  • Camera
  • Sun glasses
  • Sun screen
  • Rain jacket and pants, if showers are forecast
  • Warm clothing – sometimes it is cooler than you might think offshore, so bring a jacket and sweatpants if wearing shorts
  • Shoes – no bare feet while fishing and no heels ladies
  • Any food and drinks you want for the trip, beer and wine is fine
  • A large cooler with ice for your catch
  • Plenty of 1 gallon zip lock freezer bags for your fillets
  • If you think you might have a problem with motion sickness ask your doctor for a prescription for medicated anti motion sickness ear patches – THEY WORK!!!
  • Please limit alcohol consumption the night before trip and a good night’s sleep is good.
  • Please remember to tip the mate/captain for filleting your catch, standard gratuity rates apply.

Sea Duck Hunting

  • Anything you want to eat or drink while hunting
  • Sorry, no alcohol during the hunt
  • Warm clothing
  • Warm hat
  • Warm socks
  • Sun glasses
  • Water proof gloves
  • Camera
  • Cell phone
  • Hand held VHF radio if you have one
  • Waterproof clothing
  • Waders with rubber rain jacket for layout boat or hip boots with rubber rain jacket and bottoms
  • Plenty of shells – nontoxic shot only – With steel shot #2 or larger I like #1 shot in steel. Heavy shot #6 or larger I like #4 shot
  • Ammunition box or water proof bag
  • Massachusetts hunting license, out of state is $60.00
  • Massachusetts waterfowl stamp $5.00
  • Federal duck stamp
  • Plug for your gun, 3 shot capacity max
  • Trigger lock for guns in transport
  • Stockings or 2 gallon zip lock bags if you plan on getting something mounted
